Dear All at AJP Group,
I recently bumped into a person who had a tattoo on their arm that fascinated me, primarily because it explained the way I felt so succinctly. It read: “Some people survive chaos, and that is how they grow. Some people thrive in chaos because chaos is all they know.” For me, the latter sentence describes the events of the AJP Group during the concluding part of 2023 and throughout 2024.

Reflecting on 2024
“What a tumultuous year.” We have separated from our previous franchisor and embarked on new relationships in many respects. Our supermarket division has been dismantled, and our property division has grown. We are also rebuilding our ancillary non-core businesses so they can become self-sufficient, independent of our previous supermarket business.

Facing Change and Embracing Growth Over the past year, we have weathered significant challenges. We have said goodbye to colleagues and welcomed new team members. In the process, we have discovered strengths we never knew we had, learned from setbacks, and come through with a renewed sense of purpose. Through these trials, we have strengthened our resolve to remain a leader in our industry.

Looking Ahead
To those who have remained, to the newcomers, and to all who will join us on this journey: let’s take on the challenge of growing AJP into the colossal enterprise we know it’s meant to be. Let’s build a long-lasting company and a long-lasting legacy. Let’s “create, serve, grow” again for the next 30 years and beyond.

The worst is behind us. As Mr. Alex said so many times, “In my life, I never feared poverty. Why, do you think I would fear you?” I am committed to this belief and task.
